There is gravity in space, just very little. They feel weightless because they are in the Earth's orbit. This means that they are constantly falling, but missing the Earth as they fall.

Acceleration

Acceleration is an increase in velocity. It occurs when something is traveling at a certain speed or velocity, and it changes for a reason. For example, if a car was coasting on a slightly slanted road and was going 25 miles per hour, if the road suddly gets steeper, the car will speed up, or accelerate.

Average speed from school to my house

It takes about 16 minutes to get to my house from school, which is about five miles away. Using the equation v=x/t, I determined the average speed/velocity is 31.25 miles per hour.

Pendulum Lab

Lab Write Up

Hypothesis- As the length of the pundulum increases, the time will increase as well.
Methodology- Increases pendulum length by .25 meters every trial. Every trial, the pendulum was held on the forehead of the person dropping it, and it was timed as it swung five times. After the data was collected, it was divided by five to determine the time of just one lap.
Conclusion- The pendulum lab proved that length to time is a direct proportion because as one increases, the other does as well.
